Lisa’s Tangled Surprise

Have you ever pictured something happening one way, and had something completely different happen instead?

On a cool and humid summer evening in Boulder, Colorado, we learned just how difficult it was to float paper lanterns. My good friend, who has one of the warmest and kindest hearts I know of, arranged a surprised for her roommate and best friend to celebrate her strength and resilience throughout college. The purpose of the evening? To recreate the floating lantern scene from the movie “Tangled.” Despite the (literal) downfall of most of the lanterns, some went aloft, and the night was still a raging success. Captured here are the moments.
