Travel By Train

The other week, on my way to the University of Denver via public transit, I happened upon Denver’s Union Station for the very first time, and I was blown away.

The interior of Union Station is absolutely brilliant. The station, born in the wrong decade and yet never more belonging at the same time, boasts high, gleaming windows overlooking on restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, gift shops, and the Crawford Hotel. The lobby is an intricate labyrinth of 1920’s style furniture and light fixtures complete with a shuffleboard table, and it all amazes me to no end.

I’ve chosen to capture these shots in black-and-white to reflect the 1920’s atmosphere of the station. You’ve done it again, Denver!
